Blu-Ray Authoring
Videolab is also a pioneer in the authoring of Blu-Ray
High definition has opened up a new era in DVDs, not only because of the spectacular improvement in the quality of image (1920 x 1080) and sound, but also in terms of advanced interactivity.
HD encoding can be done with various codecs (AVC, VC-1 and MPEG2) in 25 Gb or 50 Gb discs .
It can be compressed to the familiar Constant or Variable Bit Rate, but it can also be encoded to “constant quality”, applying the right amount of Bit Rate to maintain quality at every moment.
Blu-Ray allows us to include audios on one disc with the Dolby Digital Plus codec (unlimited channels) or Dolby True HD, DTS HD Base and DTS HD (with 8 channels).
But the most spectacular thing about Blu-Ray is its evolution at a formal level, with the possibility or creating advanced-interactivity authoring. An interactivity that opens up a wide range of possibilities, giving access to extras by means of buttons or animated menus, menus over the film, pop-ups, picture in picture options or internet connection from the player.
This means we are able to maintain rigorous quality standards guaranteed by the best professionals and state-of-the-art technology.
